I´m the organizer of an art&music-festival called “folk-artNOW!” in Bremen, Germany. Its a 3-week group-exhibition with european outside/folk-art and concerts on the weekends with LoFi/new/weird folk acts. its the 3rd time we do this now and this year we have a local focus on the countries around the baltic-sea. The festival will be in Dec.´09.
we are still looking for contacts to organisations & artists in these countries(especially sweden, norway, finland, denmark, poland) who would like to partizipate in the exhibition. since i was very impressed by your knowledge about the outside/folk-art scene, i thought you might have an idea of any link or artist.
i´ts a great site that your running.
thakn you very much for any kind of advice.
best wishes, tobias lange
My contribution isn’t exactly a credo, but tis seems the best spot for it. Maybe there should be a category about, oh, say… tools! Anyway, here goes:
When I use my coping saw to cut out complicated, curvy shapes, it makes me very anxious, yet when making the same cuts with my new fret saw, I’m relaxed and happy… go figure.
Is it just me, I always thought the Ramones were just noise?
Or maybe it should be “You can always play the Ramones loudly.”
@Mike – it may be noise, but it’s one of the best noises around.
The Ramones MUST be played at full volume in order to get the full effect! But make sure that your neighbours are out
